I admit I used Chat GPT to explore art themes around laughter, joy and health. It came up with exactly what I desired our theme to convey:
"Joyful Moments" celebrates laughter as a powerful and transformative force that transcends boundaries, bringing people together, and enriching their lives with happiness and well-being. It encourages artists and viewers alike to embrace the lighter side of life, find solace in humor, and appreciate the profound impact that laughter can have on our mental, emotional, and physical states."
Laughter is not simply a fleeting moment of amusement. It is a profound source of healing, connection and positivity.

The JMH Auxiliary Gallery at the Aspen Center has been engaging artists to create uplifting "wellness" and "wellbeing" artworks for patients, their families, friends, volunteers, staff as well as the general community since 1983.
The Auxiliary was formed in 1959 to raise funds to build the Walnut Creek Medical Center. Today the Auxiliary contributes funds and volunteer services to help John Muir Health benefit the community.
Here's a partial list of what they have provided funds for from 2018 to 2022. Their pledge totaled over 1.9M.
The Auxiliary also provides over $100K in funding for programs such as
