Guy Cummins of Pro Bono and other artists capture the moment
The Paint Livermore 2025 Plein Air Festival wrapped up with a vibrant Reception and Awards Show on Sunday, May 18 at the Bankhead Theater. Artists from all over the Bay Area spent the week painting throughout Livermore, capturing scenes from vineyards, downtown streets, and golden hillsides.
The culminating show featured over 60 plein air paintings and drew an enthusiastic crowd of art lovers and community members. The awards ceremony was a highlight, with juror Philippe Gandiol offering thoughtful, witty commentary on each of the top seven award-winning pieces.
Special guests Ghada Jamal, internationally acclaimed artist, and John Iacono, artist and arts educator, attended the reception following their collaborative painting workshop on May 10. Many thanks to all the volunteers and supporters who helped make this inspiring event such a success.
