Judge

This year's judge is Ron Norman.

Bay Area Artist Ron Norman's art has morphed over the years from colored pencil florals, then landscapes, epic murals and now to intricate and detailed graphite drawings which explore concepts of death, surrealism, classical still life, and oddities. These surrealistic trompe l'oeil still lifes reflect his personality and his soul in a much more genuine and revealing way. He's a strange character, but in an awesome way! He hasn't been known for his figurative work but over the last few years he has included little portraits and figures into his drawings. He will bring a different and unique point of reference to the Essential Figure show as our judge this year. So glad to have him and his expert eye.

If you don't agree with Ron's choices for the awards, you will have a chance to vote for the People's Choice Award. We hope you join us and enjoy our Essential Figure show again this year. It just keeps getting better and better!
